Set in a charming Viennese villa, the Oak House is a family-led boutique guesthouse, which was brought to life by two sisters - one with a background in Architecture and the other in Economics - who themselves share a deep passion for travelling. After having spent over a decade living abroad in various countries, they wanted to create a place in their hometown that would be the confluence of all their inspirations, influences and impressions collected over the years.

  

In 2023 the Oak House opened its doors for the very first time, with the desire of wanting to offer a different kind of travel experience in Vienna by reimagining the traditional concept of a "Guesthouse," with a modern twist. With six individually designed rooms, a garden,  as well as a drawing room at the very top where guests can enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee, the Oak House promises an intimate and cosy atmosphere.​

 

“We wanted to bring back the concept of an old-school Guesthouse, right in the middle of a big city like Vienna and create a place that feels like you are staying in the home of good old friends. Our house, a former family home, nestled in an urban setting offered this unique opportunity! Each of our rooms have been carefully curated and offer spaces to retreat to and our big family-style living room on the top floor is the perfect place to cosy-up or meet fellow travellers as you explore our beautiful city Vienna!”

The Oak House is a female-run business and the heart and soul of it is made up of our entire all-female team who run this place, making sure you have the best experience possible!
